Dougray Scott – supporting Refugee Week
Dougray Scott – supporting Refugee Week
The Scottish actor Dougray Scott has spoken out about his support for The British Red Cross and in specifically Refugee Week. The star of stage and screen recorded a video message explaining why he is so passionate about the efforts of the Red Cross to support child refugees in particular. Today is the first day of Refugee Week organized to encourage a better understanding between communities through interaction.
Scott who is currently filming a new TV mini-series in Australia, is well known for his roles in
Mission: Impossible II, Twin Town and more recently Desperate Housewives. He was the favourite to take over the role of James Bond but unluckily missed out to Daniel Craig. He is lucky enough however to be married to Claire Forlani so I’m sure he doesn’t let the James Bond thing bother him!
Dougray has visited a Red Cross centre in Croydon and witnessed first hand the support given to Refugees there. More information about Refugee Week as well as Dougray Scott’s video message can be seen at The British Red Cross Refugee Week Page.
